Candido 400
A 400-speed color negative film from Candido, a small newer brand. Everyday speed for everyday light.
How it behaves
Rate it at box speed and treat the first roll as a test. Small-brand films can vary, so judge the colors yourself before committing. The notes describe a daylight-balanced color negative with fine grain and strong, ready-to-go color in C-41. Remjet is removed, so bright highlights bloom with a red halation glow. Candido’s own technical datasheet lists the source emulsion as Kodak VISION3 250D 5207, sold with a recommended EI of 400 in C-41. It handles overexposure well and is forgiving when given extra light.
