CineStill 800T
CineStill 800T starts with Kodak Vision3 500T motion picture film. The remjet layer is removed so it can be processed in C-41. That change also creates the red halation around bright lights that has become part of its look.
How it behaves
It is balanced for tungsten light. Night scenes and warm artificial light are its natural territory. In daylight, use an 85 correction filter or expect a cooler cast. Hard point lights can bloom into red halos. The halation comes from the removed remjet layer. It processes in standard C-41.
Questions people ask
Is CineStill 800T good at night?
Yes. It is tungsten balanced and built for night city scenes, neon, concerts, and tungsten lit interiors.
What causes the red halation?
