JCH Streetpan 400
Rescued Agfa traffic surveillance film, rebranded by Japan Camera Hunter. Made to read license plates at night, so it sees into the infrared. Moody is an understatement.
How it behaves
It loves contrasty night scenes. Skies darken, skin goes pale. Shoot it at 400 and let the shadows fall where they want. It has extended red sensitivity to 750nm, which cuts haze and adds punch at dawn and dusk. It can be rated between EI 200 and 500 with acceptable results. It pushes to +3 stops. Check the expiry date when buying, as some short-dated lots have circulated.
