Kentmere 200
The middle child of the Kentmere line. A 200 speed black and white film from Harman’s factory. A bit more grain than the 100, a bit more speed.
How it behaves
Good all rounder for mixed light. It pushes a stop if you need it. It is the value pick when you want to burn film without thinking about cost. Stronger, enhanced contrast and clean shadows compared to the rest of the line. This stock launched in 2025 and the review base is still thin, so treat the ratings as an early read. Processing is standard black and white. The 35mm cassettes are DX-coded.
